The rector of this parish, which the Prayer Book Society of Canada records using the Canadian BCP, including for Compline, which is rather rare in Canada these days, posted a bizarre statement in answer to the question “Is The Chapel Anglican?”

The answer (nominally positive, but otherwise in the negative) is explained with perplexing, verbose sentences, which make me wonder what his point is? Is he trying to explain a liturgical, Greek-influenced, Patristic theology, like that of the Orthodox Church of which I am a member? Or is he alternately embracing the Gnostic heresy? Or is he discardimg Christ altogether in the form of a Paganism concealed by a hollow, nominally Christian liturgy, like the Unitarian Universalist King’s Chapel in Boston, with its infamous Book of Common Prayer carefully edited to remove all references to the Trinity?
