    Hello everyone,
I have been looking for a good Anglican forum for some time where i can come and seek guidance on my faith so hopefully this turns out to be the right one.

I am relatively new to Christian life , although spending some of my early years in a catholic church with my grandmother as a child my Christian educated stop suddenly in the early 90s because of family feuds. As a result i spent most of my life as a atheist and ridiculing those of faith both at school and within my family.

I owe my return to faith to me wife and her desire for a church wedding, We contact our local Anglican church simply because her Fathers business does some work for the local priest so we went for a interview and had a nice little chat about love and marriage and since he seamed like a approachable priest we decided to see what a church service is like. Sitting through that first service brought back many feelings from my youth, things i have not thought about in years,it turned out to be a very emotional experience for me.

At that point i become a "Closet Christian" and secretly started investigating religion online and reading the bible. We kept attending church as i told my wife it would be good to attend for the sakes of our children's moral upbringing ( i have 2 children now 1 girl and 1 boy). Last year i finally "come out" and told my wife i wanted to do my communion, at first she thought i was making a joke but she soon realised i was serious.

It has now been 5 years since i first walking into a church as a adult, but i still have so may questions about the faith, Hopefully everyone here will help me on my path.

    Thanks
    Luke

You are welcome here brother. Praise God for your conversion.

I was brought up by atheists and had agnosticism in my heart for many years before Grace overwhelmed my heart and asked me to choose. We can talk about anything you want here. Consider this forum a place of inquiry in good will.

Welcome. I returned to Anglicanism some fifteen years ago (after thirty + years as an agnostic) and it's great to be back. I did live in Brisbane for a time and was an active member of the Anglican Church of Australia. I'm now active, mainstream CofE.

A word of caution. I have not been made to feel entirely at ease in this forum. The Episcopal Church in the USA certainly has its problems, and various of our American posters bear the scars of this.

There seems to be a degree of opposition to women priests and certainly a degree of homophobia. Fair enough. But my middle of the road views have led me to receive various reprimands and on one occasion I was banned for a week. It's not quite the "how're you doing?", information/ideas swapping, fraternal place I'd expected.

You might be interested in seeing Hackney Hub's latest response in "how to grow your church". We get various such truisms.

And, as we can see, there's at least one instance of sanctimonious hypocricy from the eastern side of the Atlantic represented on the forum as well.
