A few folks from church and I have been having a small bible study outside of church one night a week. We begin with a simple prayer (extemporaneous), study the Gospel lesson for the coming Sunday and close with Complimentary. Should we be opening with a Collect vs extemporaneous prayer? There is no clergy in the group. Someone brought up this question this week and we were curious if it should be a Collect.
