Church of England: There is ‘no official definition’ of a woman

How' this for a definition for both for the benfit of a space alien who has never encountered human beings or gender before?

Some human beings are able to produce both male and female human babies. This is essential for the survival of the species. These will be found to be all always women who can do this.

Some human beings though are unable to or don't want to. Some may be women, but all the rest who can't do it at all, will be men.

This makes men relatively unimportant to the survival of the human species on the whole. Only a few are really necessary.
