    btw …

    all those apostles were Jewish

so all bishops now should be Jewish

    and none wore spectacles

so nobody with spectacles should become priest

Maybe because Paul was not a woman 'hater'. Some of those texts that make him appear so may not have been written by St Paul and also some of Paul's opinions and theological reasoning changed during the course of his lifetime, so some contradictions exist because they were written by him at different periods of Paul's life of faith and learning. Overall the letters of Paul and also perhaps some letters merely supposed by others in the church to have been written by Paul, but may have not been, were judged to have been inspired by God by a majority of the compilers of the bible, so were finally accepted into the canon which became The Bible around 365 AD.

You will learn that when a thread degenerates into short, tart comments, as this one seems to be doing, a moderator will put it out of it's misery by prompt termination.

So you deny divine inspiration of the Bible.

No, I haven't denied anything of the sort. I just think you have no understanding of what the Bible being 'Inspired' means, judging from the thrust and apparent 'logical' 'reasoning' of your accusation, that I have somehow denied divine inspiration, in what I had asserted.

The Bible being as it is, 'inspired' by God, should not raise an inevitable expectation in anyone, that every statement made by every writer on every page of every book, now in it, raised into the canon of scripture, by the church, should become universally regarded as an edict of God, eqivalent to the Law, The Prophets or even the Ten Commandments. It is not a sin for a woman not to remain silent, any less than it is for a man not to remain silent, even though MEN are not told by this writer of scripture to 'remain silent'. Though in some circumstances, (for everybody's sake), some men should remain silent.
