I was a methodist back then
I feel attacked!
Have you ever seen a Polish Advent calendar? Here's a picture of one:
Calvinists do have a point here...
I don't understand some of these memes. This one, I really don't comprehend. Why, for example, does it show people in prison settings? What do those people have to do with liturgical books? And if "he" in the top photo is the RC, why is what "he" does "better" than what "I" do? (Or am I being misdirected by inaccurate sentence structure?) Plus, I can't make out anything but the word "THE" on the book in the second picture, so I can only assume that it represents the BCP...?
The way memes work is they piggy bank on something from pop culture, and put their twist on it…
For example you know how in Gone with the Wind, Rhett Butler says, frankly my dear I don’t give a damn? so an Anglican meme on that could be, you take that frame from the movie; frame 1: the Pope says, I’m not in communion with you; Frame 2: Rhett Butler with Cranmer’s face: frankly my dear I don’t give a damn
In the meme above, some scene was taken from a recent movie with that dialogue; the meme appropriated that dialogue to an Anglican context
@Rexlion - if you think mine are confusing, you see the weirdo stuff my kids send me!
This is more my speed for humor....
