Preamble

You agree to submit only such Content to this site as complies with these Terms of Service.

You retain copyright over your Content. By submitting Content to this site you grant a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish said Content in connection with this site.

Requests for the removal or modification of your Content on this site are non-binding and non-mandatory. The right is reserved to take any action (disciplinary or otherwise) against any account on this site, at any time.

The providers of service on this site are not responsible for any user-generated content. Content posted expresses the views of its author only.


Section I. General Forum Rules

1. Registration

Your username shall not:
  • Be the name of another living person, or likely to be confused with it.
  • Resemble that of an administrator or moderator on this site.
  • Contain offensive or misleading elements.

2. Duplicate accounts

You shall not create more than one account. Duplicate accounts will be erased or merged.

3. Forbidden content

You shall not post, or link to, any content which is defamatory, threatening, spam or spam-like, contains immodest content or illicit personal information of others, risks copyright infringement, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws.

4. Off-topic posting

Do not write posts that:
  • Are not on the topic currently being discussed.
  • Are lengthy and don't engage in dialogue with other members.

5. Orphan topics

Do not start threads with a bare statement or link. Connect what you are posting with other members and explain its value or reason of interest to them.

6. Repetitive or 'loud' content

Do not repeatedly use large headings to draw attention to your writing. Do not excessively quote prior content, or post lengthy excerpts from external writings.

7. Proselytizing

Do not advance an agenda or content that you believe others "need" to hear.

8. Solicitation

Solicitation is prohibited. All links, in posts, signatures and profiles, have the 'no-follow' attribute, and don't help the target website.

9. Harassment

Do not pursue, harass, or attempt to make life difficult for other individuals.

10. Profanity

Profanity is filtered and auto-corrected. Attempting to bypass the auto-correction filter is prohibited.


Section II. Rules on Religion

1. Anglicanism and the historic Church of England

There shall be no derogatory statements about Anglicanism, Anglicans, or the historic Church of England as lived through the centuries.

2. Christianity

There shall be no derogatory statements:
  • about Christianity, including all religions being equal.
  • about the Creeds: Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, and Athanasian Creed;
    -or the Formularies: Articles of Religion, Prayerbooks, Church Catechism, and Homilies.

3. Scripture

There shall be no derogatory statements about Scripture, such as that it is not the word of God, not fully inspired, or teaches anything but the truth.

4. Modern errors

There shall be no statements to promote modern errors, such as gay "marriage" and women's ordination. [Anglican Forums Reformation, Advent 2014.]

5. Non-Anglican sources

Non-Anglican sources such as interfaith, ecumenical or non-denominational documents are not to be cited as reference for Anglican doctrines.

6. Non-Anglican prayers or devotions

Non-Anglican prayers and devotions shall be reserved from posting. This is not a statement on their validity. This site serves traditional Anglicanism so those wishing to post devotionals should seek out the Anglican devotions on the subject.

7. Open discussion

Within the above guidelines, all discussions are welcomed, including questions about the validity of Scripture, claims of Christianity, or the nature of Anglicanism.
