The feature which shows how many entities are online often shows a largish number of robots. As I pen this, there are 23 online (!) -- three members (though only 3 of them are named), 10 guests, and 9 robots. Often the robots outnumber everyone else. Is this a feature? or a bug?
As I understand these things, the 'robots' are actually search engines from around the world (google, bing, yandex, baidou and others) which continuously crawl everything on the internet, scouring its contents. See what I mean: http://forums.anglican.net/online/?type=robot They are identified apart from regular guests, I think, in order not to give an incorrect figure of human visitors.
