    In what year were lay persons licensed to administer the chalice in Episcopal Churches in the U.S.?

    I became a Licensed Lay Reader in the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis in 1969. Is this office still recognized in the canons of the Episcopal Church of the U.S.?

    I was a licensed Lay Euxharist Minister in the Diocese of San Francisco in 1991. Is this office still recognized in the canons of the Episcopal Church of the U.S.?
