I am following the news about the situation across the fence, and there are interesting developments going on at ACNA, for example, the end of the AMiA schism: Rwandan Archbishop Turns Over North American Bishops to ACNA http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=16097#.T9wurrVfeCp The article concludes with these words: Nine archbishops... wow.
I've followed this topic with interest, because I know an AMiA priest. This sounds like good news. There's really no good reason for ACNA and AMiA to be apart (at least the AMiA members who were committed to Rwanda). Nine archbishops is a really big deal too...very cool!
This is indeed good news. It is now time to gather into TEC and ACNA and go our separate ways. IMHO, both have their futures, very different ones. World Anglicanism is split. Personally, I think that full schism is better than what we have. TEC is to be respected, as ELCA, UCC, UMC or any of our fellow Christian churches. The shame has been their methods and lack of charity toward fellow Christians who disagree with them.
