    Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    All sin deserves death.

    *shocked*

You are quick with your death penalty.
    Do you enjoy death penalties?
Your Gospel is a Gospel of Horror.

Am I the only one who is horrified about this death wish?

That is not Christianity, as I know it.
That is not Anglican, as I know it.

That is cruelty - and enjoying cruelty.

The vote was not "Homosexuals should be killed" it was "Homosexuality deserves death"
Homosexuality is a sin. All Sin deserves/leads to death. Lying is a sin. Liars deserve death. Stealing is a sin. Stealers deserve death.
Sin is why death entered the world in the first place.

Death in the context of how St Paul means it, does not mean human punishment. All sin deserves death including adultery and lying, but there is no human capital punishment for that. All St Paul is saying is that if God chose to do something like destroying Sodom and Gomorrah, would it be wicked because those people were innocent? No, they were guilty in God’s eye and he was fully in his rights to punish them. He has also punished with death the liars, the cheats, the adulterers. One time a young Hebrew was afraid the Ark of the Covenant would fall so he ran in to hold it up. God killed him on the spot, because it’s a sin to touch it.

This is how St Paul means that sin is death. Not death from us, but death from God, if he so chooses to. That’s what we mean by original sin. Because of our sins, humanity could all be destroyed by God and he wouldn’t be immoral in doing so.
