I am looking for a very specific Bible commentary from a conservative, traditionalist Anglo-Catholic perspective. 1. It should contain no historical-criticism since this would beat the entire purpose of exploring different viewpoints. I have already dealt with this and have satisfied my curiosity. 2. Format: One big tome between 20$ - 50$ ; not several expensive parts 3. For a comparison think of Matthew Henry's Commentary. The issue with him is that he belongs to the Reformed tradition and that he can hardly be considered to hold Catholic positions or to be particulary friendly towards Anglicanism. Can you think of a conservative Anglo-Catholic scholar from the 19th or 20th Century who wrote a Bible Commentary? I'd massively appreciate it if someone with more knowledge could direct me. My attempts have yielded nothing so far.
