Is the auricular confession common among Anglican?

    In these realms (South Africa), not so much. I don't hear much being said about it however our rector did mention in passing once that he actually listens to a lot of confessions in our parish.

    Do you mean private confession (as opposed to the general confession/priestly absolution in public services)?
