I found it interesting that these two men (and I have spoken to Bishop Jones before) can still accept one another, even though they both took different paths. Neither considers the other to be a heretic, but instead they each accept the other as a Christian (as well as their Baptist parents).
Well, just because you may view one as a heretic, doesn't nessacarriley mean you deny they are Christians. However, I think all Christian, whether they be Catholic, Protestant, Eastern Orthodox, etc. should all feel that they are brothers and sisters in Christ; regardless of their denomination.
The Catholic Church ofically deems Protestants heretics. With the modern age, you do not hear that as much anymore. But, it is still the offical position of the Church. We Traditionalist use it often. NOT as an insult, but as a truthful way in our view to describe Protestantism.
