Do most Burglaries happen because of sinful behavior that the householder has done?

    Watching porn, for example.

    It actually happened to me.

seriously Considering it as a consequence of sin.. It might be another aspect of why sin is dangerous.

What it means in this context, not engaging in habitual sinful behavior means you don’t have worry about burglary. Only those who habitually sin have to worry about it.

It doesn't seem likely, but it's not outside the realm of possibility. It is possible for a Christian to do things against God's will that remove him from some of God's protections. For example, getting on a plane despite an inner witness from the Holy Spirit to not do so, and the plane crashes. Or refusing to judge oneself in one's own eating habits, and subsequently dying young from dietary-induced illness.

Watching porn regularly and willfully, refusing to repent of the sin, and consequentially the angel that was guarding your house is assigned elsewhere....? Dunno.

On the other side of the coin, staying away from habitual sin (or let's suppose one could completely resist all sin in one's life) doesn't guarantee that nothing bad will happen. Life is not a bed of roses. Even Jesus, who never sinned, was persecuted and spoken badly of throughout His ministry, and then He was crucified.

Watch enough porn and God will send someone to take your computer! But on a more serious note, I agree with @Rexlion. We aren't ever exempt from the realities of this world. Bad things will happen even to the best of Christians.

Indeed and for sure good things undeservedly happen to the worst of 'em too. The book of Job is all about that. I suggest Stephen22 reads it and takes notes.

Thank you for this post, to the first poster.

Just remember saint Augstine struggled with lust.
Maybe tie an elastic band to your wrist and snap it when a thought comes to your mind.

    Please do this inconspicuously.

Restraints DO work, but you still have to force yourself to do something you would find boring, like waking up earlier in the morning to do half an hour of pious Bible study. Some sort of endurance or mortification.

I really don’t like the humour of everyone else, I don’t think p**rn or sexual slavery is a joke.
