I am a confessional Presbyterian who sympathizes with the liturgical life, history, and beauty of the Anglican tradition. I am a Soldier by occupation, and theology geek. I cannot wait to learn some new things and be introduced to a deeper understanding of the Anglican perspective!
Hooah! My grandfather's brother was in US Army signal corps! Seeing as you are a theology geek, you should check out the main page (http://www.anglican.net), it has many beautifully reproduced classical Anglican texts (linked in header section). I'm plowing my way through An Apology at present.
Well, well, Welcome! Pardon my ignorance, but when you say confessional Presbyterian, is that Westminster Confession? If so, what are some of the similarities between it and, say, the 39 articles of religion?
Yes, the Westminster confession. Compared to the 39 articles the WCF is more thorough, very in depth. It takes a much more explicitly Calvinist stance on soteriology among other things.
