:D Has a lot of relevance for me lately.
...Getting the kids to church this morning for easter was no easy feat let me tell you! But so worth it.

A Buddhist walks up to a hot dog cart. The server asks him what he would like.

He says "make me one with everything".

What do American Jewish mothers make for dinner every Friday night?

    A reservation!

"My own husband, in a funeral of all things, proclaimed that the dearly departed was 'preceded in death by … ' and then named the survivors sitting in the front row. When they began to check their own pulse, he muttered, 'I meant to say she was 'survived by' and then renamed the still-living relatives. (Everyone but the dearly departed and my husband laughed.)"

I don't get #2 though. Is it an 'in' joke?

I like the cartoon I saw of two Roman catholic priests talking to each other.
One says " This celibacy lark isn't much fun" .
And the other replies " No; but it beats having no sex at all".

    Short answer:
    Yes, it's an inside joke!
It's in my genes; my grandfather loved to make people laugh.

    Long answer:
It's an exaggerated take on how American consumerism contends to be just as much as a 'religious' preference while observing tzum/tzom (fast or fasting) during Lent Fridays.

Today is Palm Sunday. At church we sat in the parish hall until 9 am and then wen outside to begin the procession of the palms. Fr. said to me, "Be sure to get a palm." I replied, "What if I don't want another palm? I already have two," and I held up my hands, palms forward. ;)

It struck me that Palm Sunday is the only time of year when Christians engage in palmistry.... :halo:

Saw this on a church sign today:

    The more you miss church,
    the less you miss church.

A young teen was failing in math at the public school, so the parents put him in a Roman Catholic school to see if it would help. The change could be seen immediately in the boy's attitude. He began studying math with nearly every spare moment of his free time. He earned an "A" on his next two math tests.

The parents sat him down and asked what aspect of his Catholic school experience made such a difference. What motivated him so strongly? The boy looked at them intently and said grimly, "I saw what they do to people who fail at math. In every classroom, they've posted an image of the guy they nailed to the plus sign!"
