Grace and Peace to you brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

I am curious if there are any continuing Anglican jurisdictions in the US that continue to use the 1662 Book of Common Prayer?

    Thanks!

I don't know of any in the US. Can I ask why the 1928 doesn't work? If possible to find a 1789 prayerbook parish, I think it follows the 1662 BCP pretty closely, except for the prayers for British royalty.

It seems like I remember a parish in the Franklin, TN or somewhere south of Nashville that used the 1662. I'm trying to find it but not having any luck so far.

    Nope. Nevermind. They're 1928.

Some APA and REC parishes are 1662 only from what I've heard. It is best to inquire directly.

I don't think there are any jurisdictions that use the 1662, maybe a parish here or there. However, I believe the ACNA is developing its prayerbook on the 1662 model.

The Anglican Church in North America usually uses the 1662 BCP

The ACNA authorizes the 1662, 1928, 1979 and in Canada 1962. The ACNA leaves it up to the diocese or jurisdiction to determine the prayer book.
And do not forget, the Bishop can allow parts of the Missal to be used along with the prayerbook.

My current parish is straight 1928. Two parishes by Bishop has asked me to look at to transfer..one uses the 1928 with missal and the other the 1979.
Just don't know which Rite, I or II.

Three friends of mine transferred to new parishes....two had to learn the 1979 Rite I. The other 1928 with missal.

All four of us used the REC prayer book 2003 based on the 1662. To be an Anglican priest in the ACNA today requires a working knowledge of many various prayer books.

    Regards
