I understand she was shot. What I don't know is who by and the circumstances in particular. So whilst it may be murder, and it may be the direct result of terrorism, it may also not be. Remember three of the hostages were shot by Israeli Armed personnel. That was not murder per see. I am sorry you find me obscure. Yes, I am sorry for her and her family. I have no desire to defend Hamas, however, whilst I am opposed to what happened on October 7 2023, I choose not to demonise Hamas either. I recently rewatched Lawrence of Arabia, and I found it very helpful in understanding more of the story. The material I have had to date says she was shot, and I accept that, so no, I don't think she died of a cold. If you read my post at #19 you will see I said "I am not sure based on the news reports I read that I could conclude that Shani Louk was or was not murdered." Murder is the unlawful killing of another human without justification or valid excuse committed with the necessary intention as defined by the law in a specific jurisdiction. This state of mind may, depending upon the jurisdiction, distinguish murder from other forms of unlawful homicide, such as manslaughter.
I don't know her. She would not have been in my awareness had you not raised it. When you did I went looking for what I could find, which was not a great deal of detail. You have provided little in the way of information or detail, so I wonder why you would expect anything in the way of comment. The two people I have seen use the term murder in this case are an Israeli Defence Force Press Spokesperson and and @Nevis. I suspect there is. This is the second time you have used the term 'Isreal'. The first time I presumed you meant 'Israel', but this time I must ask you to clarify. Earlier in this thread you wanted to talk about the Eurovision Song Contest.
I started with the ESC in connection with Israel! dont you read or hear news? and Shani Louk was in the awareness worldwide
Not so much in Australia. I am reasonably abreast of news and current affairs, less so sports and entertainment. Do you use a mobile phone for the forum? I only ask as your posts seem to read like SMS messages.
Incorrect. Stories are now appearing on our media. Our new media cycles are about 12 hours out of synch with Europe, for obvious reasons. I suspect that the reason for your interest is that she seems to been an Israeli with a German heritage.
I have no idea how to answer your questions. Many people in Australia are interested. Our Government formally deplored to original attack by Hamas on October 7. Recently we took a clear stance in the UN vote about the admission of Palestine to the UN. I believe Germany abstained. I am not in a position to give you a list of the citizens of this country who are interested. As a multicultural society, we have people from diverse backgrounds, and possibly 3% of our population is Jewish, and maybe 3% Arab/Palestinian. We have university sit-ins going on as I write this.
