Maybe it's because people have to sometimes wade through 6 or more posts with one or two words in it, when one post with one short paragraph would do.

I think many of us are hesitant to participate in many of the discussions. The attitudes and levels of discussions have evolved over time into a much different environment than I first saw on here. So, I am now a follower and observer.

Comes a time when everything has been discussed 3 or 4 or 14 times and there's nothing more to be said about the subject.

This - this right here for me. Also, unless I have something UNIQUE to add, I don't comment.

I love this forum but I don't have a computer so my posts are not very long and some of the posts here are too long to read for me

I think the problem is: formerly people would give considered debate on issues, which you may or not agree with but at least you learnt something and engaged on an issue. People looking at the forum would think "this is interesting " and join in.
Nowadays we get one word or one line posts like,

    Ok I agree,

    1300 views now,

    I like Yorkshire,

    ??

    fine,
    ----------------
This doesn't really add to a general conversation and if I was new to viewing this forum and read these sort of comments, I would think "what a load of plonkers, let's try to find a real forum where at least certain people will at least quote a passage of scripture".

    Just my 2 cents worth:)

You don't learn anything of relevance from these posts and they don't seem to encourage a reply. If I was to see this forum for the first time I could well think " What a load of plonkers here, they don't say anything interesting I may as well find a real forum where they discuss theological matters. Some people here don't even seem to quote a passage of scripture."

    Just my 2 cents worth:)

Maybe so, but I don't believe your tablet situation is helping to promote the forum. If your tablet can't handle a more informative post it may be better to limit your posts.

If all the people who wanted to display at a classic car show only had 2012 Toyota Corollas would you go to the same car show next year?
