This week, the G3 and PNCC met, on March 15 & 16. Here is a link to this https://www.facebook.com/PNCC1/posts/5250931601631735 Here is a second link concerning it...https://anglicancatholic.org/news/g-3-and-pncc-continue-ecumenical-dialogue/
It does appear to me that some in the Continum seem to be drifting more into old catholicism than Anglicanism but if an intercommunion agreement is reached this would only be a good thing.
I'm always glad to hear of advances toward Christian unity with the more traditional/orthodox churches. I'll be very interested to hear how their meeting went.
I am sorry to say that Canon Bader was not at Mass today at Saint Francis ACC. However, Archbishop and Metropolitan Haverland was. I queried him as to how the G3 meeting with the PNCC went this past week. He told me it was an ongoing dialogue to mend the bridges created years ago when the split with TEC took place. Prior, Anglican branches were in communion with each other and the PNCC. When those troubles came about, the PNCC removed itself from communion with most Anglican branches. The meeting of the PNCC and the G3 is hoping to renew those ties in the future. No specifics were spoken of, just a hope expressed for future joint communion.
Thank you for the information, Br. Thomas. That sounds like good news, even if nothing specific had been reached. By the way, it seems as though we are fairly close to one another, as I attend St. Stephen’s in Athens.
I live in the small town of Lula, 15-miles from Saint Francis of Assisi ACC in Gainesville. I have yet to attend Mass at St. Stephens ACC, which I hope to do in the future. I am not much of a traveler anymore. I have a laundry-list of ailments that do not allow for much travel, even short. Godspeed.
