Several younger Christian women I know are praising Beth Barr's The Making of Biblical Womanhood, but I've had a hard time finding anybody -- women or men -- who have actually read it yet. I plan to pick it up and add it to my ever-growing pile of books I intend to read, but it may be months before I get around to it.

Kevin DeYoung, a Reformed pastor and advocate of Christian complementarianism, has posted a pretty thorough review of the book.

As our discussions seem to return to this exact topic quite a lot, I think this book (and the associated review) should be a good resource. I will make another post here when I get around to reading the book itself.

I feel the problem of having to many books to read to get to something fast.

It's supposed to be a really good book. It's been on my list for some time as well.
