    The Hackney Hub might specially like this, but here is an interesting book from 1720 concerning the entire BCP and the author's appraisal of its conformity to ancient worship.

    A very fascinating approximation of an ancient church is illustrated in the first few pages! Note the order of penitents, progressively nearing the nave as they progress in their penance.
