Thanks to my friend, Greg Marshall for inviting me to this site. I'm a high church smells & bells Episcopalian. I am a Benedictine Oblate and a member of Daughters of the King.
Welcome to the forum Joan - I am with the other lot - a Novice of the Third Order of the Society of St. Francis. I am not sure where you would get a paper copy, but there is a pdf of the Anglican Missal floating around on the internet but it is huge because it is scanned images of the original pages. I purchased a copy of the Anglican Breviary which is available through a contact in one of your US universities. Google Anglican Breviary if you are interested in that. As far as the liturgy of the hours ago, because I work and I am not in a position to carry my breviary with me especially when at work I now find the iPhone app Divine Office by Surgeworks the best way to carry the liturgy of the hours around with you. It is the post Vatican II breviary but it is still the breviary. Blessings, Gordon
Joan, Welcome to Anglican Forums. I am also a "high church smells & bells Episcopalian" also. Our Rector is the Confessor for a Benedictine Monastic Community; and these wonderful Benedictines attend our Parish. So, glad you found the Anglican Forums. Anna
Welcome to the Forums, ma'am... There are a few low church burning hells & angry yells types here, but we try to get along.
Joan... Welcome to our Anglican forums. Have you seen the movie Vision? I watched it a few weeks ago on NetFlix. Very good. ...Scottish Monk Vision - From the Life of Hildegard von Bingen (2010)
