    Hello all!

My name is Alex and I have been travelling around the world for 6 months. Now I am in Timor Leste, which is the Catholic country. I need to know more information about the religion in this country. So glad to be here!

As you have correctly said, East Timor is a predominantly Catholic country. It is a relatively new country forming in the late twentieth century. If I remember correctly it fought a war of independence to secede from the rest of the island of Timor which is predominantly Muslim. It was once a colony of Portugal.
