Good afternoon everyone! It is a pleasure to meet all of you. I have been lurking around here for some time and decided it might be a good idea to join the forum. I live on Long Island in New York with my wife. I am a lifelong Anglican, with a stint in Orthodoxy (Eastern & Western Rite). I very much look forward to some great discussion and plenty of learning. May God bless you and keep you all.
Welcome friend! I am Catholic. I am actually in the process of changing rites, and when I have full approval of my local bishop I will be apart of the Ruthenian Catholic Church. It is one of the 22 Eastern Catholic Churches in full communion with Rome, and it numbers about 700,000 people. Though, other Eastern Catholic Churches, such as the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church with around 5 million members, are much larger. Other, like the Russian Catholic Church with only a few thousand members, are much smaller. Still, It uses the Byzantine liturgy, and has the same spirituality as Eastern Orthodox. That is why I joined. Sorry for my rambling. It is just nice to see someone else on here with interest in Eastern Christianity.
