Anyone help? I know the Greek for "love" is "agape", but is "agape"/"love" God? In example: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 We know that the Word was made flesh, Jesus. But is the word "Agape"/"Love" Jesus? Is the "God is love" a description or is it making the word "love" an entity like the "Word"? Are we to take "God is love" as literal as "...the Word was God"? Any theologians out here please? Can you break down 1 John 4:8 and John 1:1.
