    In Bulgarian EO it's immediately before Holy Communion or the night before. In Syrian Orthodoxy there is general confession like in Anglicanism.

    Confession/repentence is a sacrament/mystery in most EO. Sometimes referred to as the "forgotten medicine"... There is pros and cons to a mandatory private confession to a priest in order to receive Holy Communion.
