Are there any conservative Protestant/Anglican versions of the Knights of Columbus? I'd really like to join a conservative Christian fraternal order. I've thought about joining the Freemasons, but they're too Liberal.
There are many in England, which i suppose would be less helpful to you. There are several in the United States: society St. Charles the King and Martyr comes to mind and a few more which escape me at the moment. Several which focus on charity and serving the poor: The Brotherhood of St Andrew. Church Army, all worthwhile. The freemasons are a pagan cult, I'd steer far clear of them.
I know. The Freemasons are very odd. I'm just looking for a Protestant fraternal order. I've heard of the Orange Order, but I'm not sure if they have a lodge in the US. If they did, I'd certainly join them.
There are certainly Orangemen in the United States. I've met some. They keep up with the Order, so there have to be some lodges or some kinds of fraternal houses in the country.
